My name is Deema Dabis, I am a storyteller, filmmaker, plant lover, and workshop facilitator. I am Jordanian - Palestinian, and grew up in the U.S., currently living in Jordan. I have a BA in Journalism from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and an MFA in Cinematic Storytelling from The Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts with a focus in screenwriting and editing. I have a number of fiction and documentary film projects that are currently in development. In 2020 I launched Yansoon.ink, a space that explores traditional plants, foods, and stories, whose vision is to become a hub for storytelling and new mythologies.
